Water resistance ratings on watches are one of the most misunderstood specifications in the industry. The numbers look precise but the real-world meaning is rarely explained clearly. What ATM Means
ATM stands for atmospheres a unit of pressure. 1 ATM is roughly equal to the pressure of the atmosphere at sea level, or the pressure of approximately 10 metres of static water above you. So 10 ATM is equivalent to 100 metres of static water pressure.

High-pressure water jets - no. Pressure washers or high-velocity jets can exceed 10 ATM even at shallow distances.
